Dell usually ship Inspiron 6400 laptop computers with Windows Recovery DVDs (also known as Hard Drive Restore DVDs). The Dell Inspiron 6400 Windows Recovery DVDs usually consist of the correct version of Windows and Windows drivers which are specifically designed for the Inspiron 6400 laptop computer.
The Dell Inspiron 6400 Windows Recovery DVDs are particularly useful if the machine has been attacked by a virus, if Windows has become damaged - corrupted, or if you wish to replace or upgrade the hard drive and you need to re-install your original software.
Our Inspiron 6400 Hard Disk Drive Boot Fix - Re-Image service supersedes the original Recovery DVDs (which are now unavailable) by allowing you to copy a cloned image of the Inspiron 6400 hard drive as it was when new. additionally; our reimage process does not use a Windows CD or DVD and the process is easier and takes a fraction of the time required for a standard Inspiron 6400 windows installation (a standard installation can take hours - our process takes minutes).

If your Inspiron 6400 has been attacked by a virus, or worse still; if your Inspiron 6400 is infected with a virus which you cannot remove, the best course of action is often to re-install Windows from your Dell Inspiron 6400 Windows Recovery CDs and then install quality anti virus software.
If your Inspiron 6400 is running slowly, it could be due to a virus or Viruses. The computer could also be infected with spyware, malware or adware. If this is the case; repairing the current Vista installation will not help because the repair process will not remove infections. Re-installing Windows will wipe the hard drive and so will remove - delete viruses, malware, spyware or Adware and will also remove programs - utilities which may no longer be required.
Reinstalling Windows almost always allows the Inspiron 6400 to "run faster" and the user can re-install the programs that they actually want & use.
If your Inspiron 6400 has a faulty hard disk drive (eg; if the Inspiron 6400 hard drive cannot be "seen" by the computer, if it has bad sectors, bad blocks or is making a clicking or loud whirling noise), the best course of action is usually to completely replace the hard drive & restore Windows, or to replace the faulty drive with one of our new Inspiron 6400 Pre-Imaged Hard Disk Drives.

This product has been developed in-house by Genner Communications and consists of a Boot Fix - Re-Image CD (Boot CD), an SD Card which contains the hard drive image and an Inspiron 6400 Drivers - Utilities DVD. This product is very fast and easy to use.
Simply place the SD card in the right hand side SD Card Slot and place the Boot Fix - Re-Image CD in the DVD Drive. Restart the computer. The Inspiron 6400 will then load a program which will allow you to extract an image of the original Inspiron 6400 hard disk drive (when new) to your hard drive. The process takes minutes and when finished, the computer will boot to the hard disk drive as if it were new (any virus infections, spyware infections etc will have been deleted).
