Many modern computer programs (particularly computer games) require high performance 3D graphics cards with dedicated 3D graphics processor & dedicated, high speed graphics memory and / or high performance 3D sound cards with dedicated audio processor memory or high performance 5.1 sound cards with dedicated audio processor memory. Since on most eMachines computers the graphics processor is built into the main board & the graphics memory is both taken from the main "pool of memory", whilst the sound is also built into the main board, this is obviously extremely limiting.

Additionally; modern graphics cards often use either AGP or PCI-E slots, & these are not built into some eMachines computers. Therefore, we decided to provide eMachines graphics card upgrades & eMachines sound card card upgrades (eMachines audio card upgrades) which are tailored to, & tested on specific eMachines computers (we test each card in house prior to despatch & use eMachines computers with these graphics cards & sound cards installed).

These boards pose some issues in that some shipped with two (white) PCI slots & one (brown or black) PCIE (PCI Express) slot & some shipped with only two white PCI slots. The only known way to check whether or not a particular system has a PCI-E slot (PCI Express slot) is to physically open the PC & check. The eMachines E7260 PCI-E slot is about the same length as the (white) PCI slots, but is set back slightly further from the edge of the motherboard & is closer to the centre of the motherboard.

A PCI-E (PCI Express) Graphics Card will only work in a motherboard which has a PCI Express Graphics Card slot.

We are currently redesigning our Windows Restore CD, Windows Recovery CD and Windows Repair CD service to further assist Customers.

This is because Microsoft no longer support Windows XP and they no longer allow the supply of Windows XP CDs or Windows Vista CDs for Windows Recovery, Restore or Repair purposes.

Therefore; we now supply a range of Windows Recovery CD options and Windows Restore CD options under a single Windows XP Repair or Windows Vista Repair service.

How it Works. Although we cannot supply the Windows XP CD or Windows Vista DVD, we can supply the correct drivers, utilities and manuals. We can also advise customers on which Windows XP CDs and Windows Vista DVDs are compatible with particular systems and particular licenses. we will also provide instructions, advice and support on how to reinstall Windows or repair Windows or upgrade from an earlier version of Windows. If customers do not have, or cannot obtain the correct - legal version of Windows, we can usually reinstall the original version of Windows at no extra cost. However, the customer must have the original - legal and valid Windows License (this is printed on the Windows Product Key label which should be attached to the computer case).
