eMachines usually ship their E Series Vista computers with eMachines E Series Vista Recovery CDs (also known as eMachines E Series hard drive Vista Restore CDs). The eMachines E Series Vista Recovery CDs usually consist of the correct version of Vista & Vista drivers which are specifically designed for your eMachines E Series computer.

The eMachines E Series Vista Recovery CDs are particularly useful if the machine has been attacked by a virus, if the original hard drive has developed a fault, or if you simply wish to replace or upgrade the hard drive, & need to re-install your original Vista software.

Virus Attacks

If your eMachines E Series PC has been attacked by a virus, or worse still; is infected with a virus which you cannot remove, the best course of action is often to re-install Vista from your eMachines E Series PC Vista Recovery CDs & then install quality anti virus & anti spyware programs .

Virus Attacks

If your PC is running slowly, it could be due to a virus or Viruses. The computer could also be infected with spyware, malware or adware. If this is the case; repairing the current Vista installation will not help because the repair process will not remove infections. Re-installing Vista will wipe the hard drive & so will remove - delete viruses, malware, spyware or Adware & will also remove programs & utilities which may no longer be required.

Reinstalling Vista almost always allows the computer to "run faster" and the user can re-install the programs that they actually want & use.

Faulty Hard Drive

If your eMachines E Series PC has a faulty hard disk drive (eg; if the eMachines E Series PC hard drive cannot be "seen" by the computer, if it has bad sectors, bad blocks or is making a clicking or loud whirling noise), the best course of action is usually to completely replace the hard drive & restore Vista from your eMachines E Series Vista Recovery CDs. This process will usually involve replacing the eMachines E Series PC hard drive & then placing the eMachines E Series Vista Recovery DVD in the DVD ROM drive & re-booting the system. The E Series PC should then boot from the eMachines E Series PC Recovery CDs & totally replace the existing Vista installation.

If required, E Series PC replacement hard disk drives can be supplied by A&A Computers, & these also come with full technical support.

Faulty data recovery CDs

If your original eMachines E Series Vista installation CDs / eMachines E Series Vista Recovery CDs are damaged (scratched, cracked etc), they should not be used as this can cause problems installing Vista, or Vista may appear to install successfully but you will experience difficulties at a later date. The eMachines E Series Vista Recovery CDs will need to be replaced.

Note; If we do not have the correct E Series Vista Recovery CDs in stock, we can often make new eMachines E Series Vista installation CDs from your originals (even if the originals are damaged).

Do not use a normal Windows CD on a Brand Name PC

All eMachines E Series PCs need to use small programs called Siemens E Series Drivers. Siemens E Series Drivers simply tell the computer about items which are built into it (such as a eMachines E Series Vista sound card driver; for producing sound, eMachines E Series Vista video card driver for producing graphics etc), or attached to it (such as a scanner or printer). One of the advantages of owning a eMachines E Series PC is that the E Series Vista Recovery CD (E Series Vista Restore CDs) will usually contain Siemens E Series Vista drivers for all of the items which are built into it, & these are needed for the E Series PC to work correctly.

Owners of eMachines E Series PC computers also own the licences to any software which was originally installed (including licences to Vista & all other applications).
