Acer usually ship their Acer Aspire Laptop computers with one or more Hard Drive Recovery CDs (also known as Acer Windows XP Recovery CDs, hard drive Recovery CDs, hard drive Restore CDs or hard drive data Restore CDs). The Acer Aspire Laptop Recovery CDs contain the correct version and build for your computer and Acer Aspire Laptop Drivers and Utilities.

The Acer Aspire Laptop Windows XP Recovery CDs are now end of life (no longer available). Following a meeting with Microsoft on January 8th 2008, Genner Communications now supply Acer Aspire Laptop Windows XP Repair CDs - Restore CDs - Drivers and Utilities CDs. These CDs allow customers to reinstall or repair Windows XP using their own Windows XP CDs and then use our CDs to get the system working correctly.

Please Note;

We are currently redesigning our Windows Restore CD, Windows Recovery CD and Windows Repair CD service to further assist Customers.

This is because Microsoft no longer support Windows XP and they no longer allow the supply of Windows XP CDs or Windows Vista CDs for Windows Recovery, Restore or Repair purposes.

Therefore; we now supply a range of Windows Recovery CD options and Windows Restore CD options under a single Windows XP Repair or Windows Vista Repair service.

How it Works. Although we cannot supply the Windows XP CD or Windows Vista DVD, we can supply the correct drivers, utilities and manuals. We can also advise customers on which Windows XP CDs and Windows Vista DVDs are compatible with particular systems and particular licenses. we will also provide instructions, advice and support on how to reinstall Windows or repair Windows or upgrade from an earlier version of windows. If customers do not have, or cannot obtain the correct - legal version of Windows, we can usually reinstall the original version of Windows at no extra cost. However, the customer must have the original - legal and valid Windows License (this is printed on the Windows Product Key label which should be attached to the computer case).

Virus Attack?

If your Acer Aspire laptop computer has been attacked by a virus, or worse still; is infected with a virus which you cannot remove, the best course of action is often to re-install Windows XP with the correct Drivers and Utilities and then install quality anti virus & anti spyware programs.

If your Acer Aspire laptop computer is running slowly, it could be due to a virus or Viruses. The computer could also be infected with spyware, malware or adware. If this is the case; repairing the current Windows XP installation will not help because the repair process will not remove infections. Re-installing Windows XP will wipe the hard drive & so will remove - delete viruses, malware, spyware or Adware & will also remove programs & utilities which may no longer be required.

Reinstalling Windows XP almost always allows the computer to "run faster" and the user can re-install the programs that they actually want & use.

Faulty Hard Disk Drive?

If your Acer Aspire laptop computer has a faulty hard disk drive (eg; if the hard drive cannot be "seen" by the computer, if it has bad sectors, bad blocks or is making a clicking or loud whirling noise), the best course of action is usually to completely replace the hard drive and reinstall Windows XP & the original software from your Acer Aspire laptop computer Recovery CD. This process will usually involve replacing the hard drive & then placing the Acer Aspire laptop computer Recovery CDs in the CD ROM or DVD ROM drive & re-booting the system. The computer should then boot from the Acer Aspire laptop computer Recovery CDs & this will then return the computer to its original state (as new).

If you do not have the original Recovery CDs, you can reinstall Windows XP from a (Retail Version) Windows XP CD and then use our CDs to reinstall the correct Drivers and Utilities.

Windows XP & Vista Restore CDs - Recovery CDs

Please Note;

We are currently redesigning our Windows Restore CD, Windows Recovery CD and Windows Repair CD service to further assist Customers.

This is because Microsoft no longer support Windows XP and they no longer allow the supply of Windows XP CDs or Windows Vista CDs for Windows Recovery, Restore or Repair purposes.

Therefore; we now supply a range of Windows Recovery CD options and Windows Restore CD options under a single Windows XP Repair or Windows Vista Repair service.

How it Works. Although we cannot supply the Windows XP CD or Windows Vista DVD, we can supply the correct drivers, utilities and manuals. We can also advise customers on which Windows XP CDs and Windows Vista DVDs are compatible with particular systems and particular licenses. we will also provide instructions, advice and support on how to reinstall Windows or repair Windows or upgrade from an earlier version of Windows. If customers do not have, or cannot obtain the correct - legal version of Windows, we can usually reinstall the original version of Windows at no extra cost. However, the customer must have the original - legal and valid Windows License (this is printed on the Windows Product Key label which should be attached to the computer case).
